Football accepts bid to Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl on Dec. 21

University of Louisville football received its reward in the first season under head coach Charlie Strong.

The team announced it will play in the Dec. 21 Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. 

The team, which finished 6-6, is in its first bowl since beating Wake Forest University in the 2007 Orange Bowl.

The Cardinals will face Southern Mississippi University, a former rival from Conference-USA. The Golden Eagles are 7-5.

Tickets can be purschased through the U of L ticket office and are $30 each for students with season tickets. Priority seating will be given to those who order before Dec. 10.  Champion Sports Tours is offering a special travel package to the bowl.
