The Denny Crum Scholarship Foundation hopes to increase funds with an event to be held Monday, Nov. 15. The Monday Fund Day event will take place at the 123 Main Street location of Patrick O’Shea’s Restaurant and Pub and will run from 1 p.m. to midnight. Former U of L basketball coach Denny Crum will make appearances throughout the day, in addition to some former U of L basketball players.

The Denny Crum Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to local high school seniors who plan on enrolling in area colleges.  The restaurant will be donating 100 percent of the net profit to the scholarship foundation.

“We’re a local business, so anything that helps keep students in the Louisville area will have a positive influence on the business climate here,” said Tom O’Shea, owner and founder of the O’Shea’s Family Pubs. “We are pleased to partner with Coach Crum for this event.”

Crum believes the scholarship foundation serves an important role to area high school seniors.

“I love Louisville,” said Crum. “This is my home. And my goal for this foundation is to help keep students here so one day they will work and raise their families here.”
