Who: Family Scholar House, formerly known as Project Women, is hosting a Women’s Health Fair as a part of National Women’s Health Week. The Metro Office for Women and Norton Cancer Institute are partnering to provide mammography screenings, clinical breast exams, and pap smears at this health fair and others throughout the week.
What: Family Scholar House invites Louisville residents to participate in this community health fair. Encourage the women you love to come and get an exam or information on health services. Organizations, businesses and health care providers throughout the community will be available with information and services for healthy lifestyles. Mother’s health is vital to her child and her family’s overall well-being.
Family Scholar House is a collaborative organization that provides housing to single parents who are experiencing homelessness and supports them in obtaining a baccalaureate degree, thereby enabling them to break the cycle of poverty for themselves.
