Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts is slated to speak at the Brown and Williamson Club at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on Oct. 27. Roberts will deliver opening remarks before sitting down for a panel discussion called “A Conversation with the Chief,” according to Gary Gregg of the McConnell Center.
The placement of the event was originally Margaret Comstock Hall in the School of Music, but the decision was made to move it after U of L received more than 1,000 requests for tickets to hear Roberts speak.
Roberts is the 17th justice the nation has seen, having succeeded William Rehnquist in 2005. His career has seen stints with the U.S. Court of Appeals and a position with the Office of the White House Counsel. Questions about the event should be directed to 852-6171.
