Women’s tennis Coach Greg Davis reaches 200 victories

Greg Davis, head coach of the University of Louisville’s women’s tennis team, picked up his 200th victory with a convincing win over Arkansas State on Saturday. It didn’t take long, as play was suspended after U of L had already clinched the win.

Mari Klokotzky of U of L defeated Marina Engelbrecht 6-1 on the first singles court, while Robyn White, Bianca Gorbea and Suzanna Gracanin picked up the final three victories for the Cards.

They also defeated Arkansas-Little Rock on Friday 6-1. The pair of victories moves their record to 4-1.

“I am blessed with the opportunity to coach good players, which makes my job much easier,” Davis said. “My 200th win is a very special accomplishment that I owe to my current and past players. I hope there are many more wins ahead of us.”
