E.D. Hill for President

I hope that someday there may be a woman elected President of the United States. For quite some time, the media has suggested Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton in 2008. God save us! When President Bush decides to bow out and pass the torch to our next American president, if Hilary Rodham Clinton campaigns, be it sooner or later than her proposed election year, I would like to nominate E.D. Hill to run against her.

For those of you who may not know Mrs. Hill, she is a third of the trio known as Fox & Friends on the Fox News Channel. Aside from Fox & Friends, Hill holds a degree in journalism and is working on a master’s degree in liberal arts with a concentration on government. Not only can she battle unruly Democrats who insist she is a far right-winger with a liberal arts degree, she’ll possess the ability to read between the lines of ultra-liberal texts and feedback that cloud our frequencies, as well as write her own speeches (which I have been waiting for a president to do for quite some time), giving us the hard facts with a bit of common sense. Come to think of it, she does that already. Isn’t that a nice breath of fresh air? Hill is a great speaker, she asks key questions, and she’s extremely attractive. Who knows, maybe this could speed up international and internal talks with stubborn leaders who shall remain nameless.

Underneath proposed president Hill would be vice president Steve Doocy, “the weather guy.” Doocy is the recipient of numerous journalism awards, as well as an advocate for children and families. Every democracy needs a vice president who not only knows what is going on in our world, but can also contribute an extremely upbeat attitude, as well as a good (or bad) joke when needed.

Secretary of State: Brian Kilmeade. I think that has a nice ring to it. Anyone who watches Fox & Friends knows that Mr. Kilmeade is not only an excellent journalist, but that there have been quite a few times when America is handed the short end of the stick, and Kilmeade wants to get out there and set things straight with his own two hands.

Even if these three people were any part of our current government, I think it would be great. It is hard to explain, since I am a supporter of President Bush and most of his staff. I hope he continues his great leadership until the job is done. However, if Hilary Clinton or a female candidate of the same sort is going to run for President of the United States, I want E.D. Hill on the front lines campaigning against her. When faced with a problem, answer it with a solution, no?

Some of my readers will give me the thumbs-up and a grin for this theory. Others will experience a sharp pain in their chests and left arms. Oddly enough, they’ll still have energy to consult their style guides with their right hand and scour my article until the pain wears off. I believe in what I write, and how I write it is the best part. While a lot of you choose to make fun of me on the feedback page, thank you for the publicity. Your insults only help the publicity of my column.

Since we’re on the subject of politics this week, I’d like to add that I nixed my absentee ballot to New York this year and registered in Kentucky. The upcoming elections are going to be huge, and like many voters, I’d like to make a difference in the future of this state. I hope that you will, too. It’s a tough world when a representative who does not share your beliefs is elected and becomes your voice. It’s a scary world when you didn’t at least attempt to vote against them.
