‘Urinetown’ reeks with satire

What's in a name? If the name is 'Urinetown,' and refers to the latest musical production put on by the University of Louisville Theatre department, then the answer is everything. The title 'Urinetown' evokes several images, in fact it evokes several smells and gag reflexes too, so why would anyone use it as the name of their musical? Because it has excellent shock value, not to mention it hints at the underlying satire and keeps this parody of musicals from taking itself too seriously-and that's what kept it interesting.
