Now that the exterior of the downtown arena is finished, it is about time to start thinking about the interior, in particular the seating arrangements. Students need to begin making their plea for quality seating now so they aren't put so high up that they can't tell the difference between David Padgett and Derrick Caracter.
At a press conference Wednesday, University of Louisville administrators and Brown-Forman executives announced a program that would fund the technological needs of Louisville's non-profit organizations. Brown-Forman will donate $356,000 for a U of L center that will provide local charities with information technology services.

Under new leadership, the University of Louisville's Student Government Association might experience major structural changes this fall. An amendment to the SGA constitution, which creates a House of Representatives, will be proposed to the Senate later this month, SGA President Brian Hoffman, a senior political science and economics major, said.
"Imagine when you were in high school having someone like Dr. Laman Gray, the first surgeon to implant an artificial heart, talk to your class and bring actual devices into your classroom," said Jenny Sawyer, director of admissions at the University of Louisville.
The political makeup of the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees is in violation of state law; according to a letter sent by Ky. Attorney General Greg Stumbo to Gov. Ernie Fletcher on Aug. 27. Gubernatorial candidate Steve Beshear unveiled a plan Wednesday aimed at sending more Kentuckians to college.
