U of L has landed ex-Texas A&M tight end Jordan Davis. He will have to sit out the 2016 season to due transfer rules.

Davis was rated a four-star recruit by ESPN and the seventh best tight end in the 2015 class. Coming out of high school, Davis held offers from Texas, Florida State, Oklahoma and Auburn.

In his single season, the 6-foot-4 Houston native played in 10 games in 2015. He only played 97 snaps while catching two passes, one being a touchdown.

On Feb. 24, Davis announced he would be transferring. Texas A&M only used a tight end on 32 percent of their formations accoring to Vincent Ronca of Pro Football Focus.

U of L has two current senior tight ends in Cole Hikutini and Keith Towbridge.
