Louisville WBB defeat UT Martin 77-43

The University of Louisville women’s basketball defeated UT Martin 77-43 in their home opener at the KFC YUM! Center on Sunday afternoon.

Bria Smith and Myisha Hines-Allen led Cardinal scorers with 14 points.  Hines-Allen finished with a team high seven rebounds.

The three other Louisville starters also scored in double figures, seniors Sara Hammond and Jude Schimmel had 11 and 10 points, respectively.  Freshman Mariya Moore added 12 points.

Louisville’s defensive pressure controlled the game, holding UT Martin to 14 first half points and kept the Skyhawks to just 25.5 percent shooting (12-of-47) from the field.
