MuteMath "MuthMath" Release date: In stores now Paul Meany is being facetious as he continually belts out "I am just the typical" in the opening track of MuteMath's self-titled album. That said, I can't help but agree with him. Described as the "new maestros-in-waiting of electro-alt rock" by Alternative Press, it becomes apparent the band is doing more waiting than capitalizing on their perceived moment of opportunity.

Running back and forth between the Red Barn and Chao Auditorium, I almost missed the demonstration at the SGA State of the Student Body address that was led by SNCC Chief of Staff Mikal Forbush. Walking to the stage near the conclusion of SGA President Darrell Messer's speech and later joined by six other students, Forbush called for a stronger mobilization effort by SGA regarding the burdensome cost of increasing tuition and other various fees to U of L students.

Volleyball wins 2 Louisville volleyball finished up their regular season over the weekend taking down Ohio and Marshall at Cardinal Arena in the Cardinal Thanksgiving Challenge. Friday's match-up against Marshall ended in a 30-19, 30-21, 30-15 sweep of the Thundering Herd.

Recent studies conducted by the Center for Disease Control reveal that widely known dormant diseases such as mumps, whooping cough and tuberculosis, are now re-emerging on college and university campuses nationwide. According to the Oct. 27 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report issued by CDC, universities in Illinois, Kansas and Virginia have all reported mump outbreaks this fall.

Rutgers romps

The No. 3 Louisville Cardinals football team lost to the No. 15 Scarlet Knights of Rutgers 28-25 on Thursday. Louisville (8-1, 3-1) was plagued by penalties and poor quarterback play out of Brian Brohm, while Rutgers (9-0, 4-0) shut down the highly ranked Louisville offense in the second half.
