‘That Ain’t Right’ rally points out injustices

While rain-drenched scarves commemorated 400,000 dead in Darfur at the Interfaith Center quad last week, dozens of posters informed students of inequality in the U.S., and uniformly declared, "That Ain't Right." The women's soccer team has been striving to make a name for themselves as a top program on University of Louisville's campus. Unknown to many Cardinal fans, the women's soccer team has already accomplished many feats. Last season they made the trip to the National Colligate Athletic Association Tournament, their first in school history.

The University of Louisville field hockey team has been nothing short of amazing in the month of October. Last Thursday, the team wrapped up the regular season with a 3-2 victory in overtime over regional rival Indiana University. Senior Allison Maffitt scored two goals in the game, including the game winner in overtime, to end the regular season on a high note for the Cards.

Editorial: Homeless should not use U of L computers

Despite the University of Louisville being a public university, by paying tuition, U of L students receive a number of special privileges not afforded the rest of the public. The right to use on-campus computers is one of these. In the same way that non-students are forbidden from using our weight room, sitting in on classes, buying discounted software from the IT store and buying discounted season tickets, they must also be forbidden from using our computers.

I got a chance to catch up on my NCAA College Football 2008 on my Xbox. As always, I played as the University of Louisville and took on Ohio State University. The Buckeyes hold a similar place in my heart along with Big East referees, ESPN constantly showing Rutgers fans rush the field, Linda Cohn and kicking puppies.
