Gymnastics club flips into new year

With so many Recognized Student Organizations on campus, it can be very difficult for an RSO to gain popularity and separate itself from the fray.
This has been the case for the University of Louisville Gymnastics Club over the past few years. However, they expect things to be different this year.

It is Wednesday night in the Interfaith Center and John Brockmeier and Randy Barth ensconce themselves in the Catholic Campus Ministry's monthly "Pizza and Theology" event, downing slices of Dominoes while in the thick of theological discussion.It is Friday night in the Humanities building where Devon Spalding leads a meeting of the newly formed Secular Alliance of Free Thought and Enlightenment, set to address faith matters that he feels plague college students.

U of L conducting heavy internal investigation in light of Felner investigation

What's Happening at U of L?  University of Louisville's Office of Communications and Marketing has started a weekly media update by that name to keep everyone informed. The first briefing was held on Sept. 25 and updates were given involving the investigations surrounding former College of Education and Human Development Dean Robert Felner.


Volleyball looks to serve up Irish

Justine Landi, junior outside hitter, was surprised when the University of Louisville volleyball team was picked to finish No.1 in the preseason Big East coaches' poll. Eight of the 15 Big East conference coaches picked Louisville to finish on top.
"We were surprised because St. Johns has done so well before and they're actually right behind us," Landi said. "It will be a battle. We're a fighting team and I think we can do it. I think we will get exactly what we were predicted to be."

A bed?

Bed racing was introduced this Saturday at the 5th annual Block Party, held on U of L's Belknap campus, kicking off a three-week long medley of Homecoming events, ranging from foam parties to a semi-formal dance.
