Despite moves like these, the Lady Cards were defeated by UConn during the NCAA title game, 76-54 in St. Louis last night.
Tuesday, at noon a small group of students stood blindfolded in the quad; in silent protest.
All year-round the University of Louisville cheerleaders and Ladybirds can be found on the sideline cheering every sport on to victory, whether it's at a football game or a volleyball game. Last Friday, students, families, friends and student-athletes gathered into Cardinal Arena to show their support for the spirit groups by watching the teams show off their new routine for the NCA/NDA Collegiate National Championship.
"You can see that you are actually making a difference," said Jenna Steltenpohl Kappa Delta Sorority member on what inspired her to participate in her sorority's Annual ShamRock and Run.
This year's ShamRock and Run, a 5K race which took place in Iroquois Park this past Saturday with 535 participants, is Kappa Delta's main philanthropy project throughout the year; the U of L chapter raised over $10,000.
Heine Brothers will be new Tulip Tree Brewer
Heine Brothers will be taking over the Tulip Tree on April 13.
After conducting a survey to see if students would rather have Starbucks or Heine Brothers Coffee in the Tulip Tree, the Student Government Association discovered overwhelming support for Heine Brothers.
Heine Brothers brews organic coffee and teas and is a local roaster. The Tulip Tree's atmosphere is also going to be revived to create a similar environment to its new brewer's coffee shops.
The University of Louisville's Department of Health and Sport Sciences is designed to prepare its students to be leaders in all areas of sports management.
But are students in the program really getting the chance to prove themselves as leaders?
When it comes to management training, what could be more beneficial than actual hands-on experience?
