By on September 9, 2014

According to an email from the President’s Leadership Team, four additional police and four additional security officers are being hired for increased security on the Belknap and Health Sciences campuses.  In addition, hiring of off-duty LMPD officers and increased overtime for current officers will be implemented.

This new security measure is in response to the abduction and stabbing which took place on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

The university is also identifying safe, well-lit walking trails and giving advice to students about safety on campus.

This is a developing story.
