Devoted fans of Final Fantasy will find themselves either pleasantly surprised or a tad bit confused if they pick up a copy of the newest installment of the immensely popular series, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII. The game, which is being marketed as an combination of a first-person shooter and third-person action title, is a rather abrupt departure from the series' usual RPG (role playing game) based action.

U of L parking takes another hit with Old Louisville parking pass

Tuition increases and parking issues are the most prevalent concerns for University of Louisville students. As of August 15, 2006, U of L's parking situation took another hit. The city of Louisville, working with the requests of the Old Louisville Preservation Society, has imposed a permit-based parking system for the neighborhood just to the north of U of L's Belknap campus.

Community Park, the newest residential building located on the west side of the University of Louisville's Belknap campus, is opening its doors for students as well as some Greek organizations this year. The apartment building is officially the new home to many Greek organizations, which has given them a chance to move a little closer to campus.

Louisville athletics is known for its ever-growing list of nationally-ranked sports teams, its ability to draw some of the best recruits in the country and state-of-the art facilities. But it isn't known for its student spirit. "Student spirit isn't on par with our athletic success," said Lee Barnwell, president of the L-Raisers, a student spirit group on campus.

CD REVIEW: Keane

"Under The Iron Sea" is the most recent CD from the Brit-Rock band Keane. Finding themselves on the verge of a break-up, the band decided to let their feelings be the inspiration for new material. The level of emotion in the album is evident through the vocals of Tom Chaplin, whose voice greatly resembles U2 lead singer Bono.
