U of L’s men’s soccer team is still technically undefeated after a 1-1 tie against Indiana University Monday night at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium.

Neither team scored in what was a physical first half of play. However, Louisville seemed to have the edge, recording four shots on goal to Indiana’s one.

The second half was a different story. The ratio of shots on goal was six to five, still slightly in favor of Louisville. However, the conversions were evenly matched.

In the 57th minute, sophomore forward Andrés Escudero Martín scored on a free kick to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead. In the 66th, Indiana’s junior forward Easton Bogard returned the favor.

The two teams remained deadlocked for the remainder of the match, ending with a final score of 1-1.
