A U of L student was injured during a robbery at The Retreat apartment complex near campus around 5:15 a.m. on Oct. 11. A RAVE alert regarding the incident was sent out at 5:53 a.m.
The University of Louisville Police Department reports that officers responded to the report and the suspect fled the scene. The victim was a U of L student who was injured and had property stolen during the incident.
ULPD Chief of Police Gary Lewis did not give any further information when asked about the nature of the victim’s injuries or the weapon involved in the attack.
There is no physical description of the suspect at this time, but Lewis says that they are working with the victim to get more information. ULPD is encouraging anyone with information pertaining to this incident to call (502) 852-6111.
“We are reminding students faculty and staff not to provide access into facilities for non-affiliated persons by ‘propping’ or holding doors open,” Lewis said.
