The Louisville baseball team finished this weekend’s series against Notre Dame with a 1-0 win.

Starting pitcher Drew Harrington continued the stellar pitching performances of the weekend going eight innings with seven strike-outs and only surrendering five hits. The game remained scoreless through seven innings.

The Cards broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the eighth inning when Logan Taylor laid down the game winning sacrifice bunt. Ryan Summers scored on the play.

Closing pitcher Zack Birdi recorded his first save of the season as the Cards improve to 13-2 on the season. Drew Harrington was credited with the win for the game, moving him to 3-1 on the season.

This is Louisville’s third sweep of the season, and the first this year in ACC play. The Cards’ home stand at Jim Patterson Stadium continues on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. as they square off against Xavier.
