Final: Louisville defeats Hartford 87-52. Lee and Onuaku lead the Cardinals with 18 points each. Another good defensive effort for the Cardinals, holding Hartford to 33 percent from the field.

1:10 second half- Louisville leads 84-50. Interesting lineup on the floor for the final few minutes, Avare, Stockman, Jay Henderson, Mahmoud and Levitch.

Levitch and Avare have scored on consecutive possessions for the Cardinals. Levitch driving in for a layup and then Avare hitting a corner three-pointer.

3:37 second half- Louisville leads 77-45. Dillon Avare, Mahmoud, Stockman, Adel and Levitch on the floor for the Cardinals right now.

6:14 second half- Matz Stockman and Anas Mahmoud coming in for the first time. Louisville up by 30 points, 71-41.

7:57 second half- Louisville leads 67-41. Three Cardinals in double figures, Lee, Lewis and Onuaku. Adel and David Levitch checking in.

9:30 second half- Hartford hits a three-pointer, their first made field goal in the second half. Louisville leads 66-35. Spalding had tip slam on a Lee missed layup. Adel has yet to play in the second half.

11:22 second half- Louisville leads 62-32. Snider had a nice fast break score, drove in and had a smooth spin move for a right hand layup. Lee is up to 17 points. Ray Spalding checked in a few minutes ago, ninth Cardinal to appear tonight. Hartford has one point in the second half, Louisville currently on an extended 17-1 run.

15:41 second half- Louisville leads 50-32. Johnson had a nice few opening possessions of the second half, the sophomore has nine points and eight rebounds. Pitino has only played three guys off the bench (Mitchell, Mathiang and Snider), he will probably dip into it a little bit more through these final 15 minutes.

17:56- Louisville leads 47-32. Snider started the second half in place of Adel, who had a quiet first half.

Halftime- Louisville leads Hartford 45-31. Lee has 13 points, Onuaku has 12 points and four rebounds. Cardinals shooting 19 of 37 from the field (51%).

Lee only played three minutes in the first half against Samford after picking up two quick fouls, but he has had an early impact tonight. He is five of eight from the field and has added two assists.

1:32 first half- Pitino calls a timeout, Louisville leads 43-26.

Snider finds Jaylen Johnson who had a great seal off in the post and an easy layup. Great pass by Snider, and even better positioning by Johnson for the basket.

3:41 first half- Louisville leads 36-20. Damion Lee hits a three-pointer near the top of the key. Lee is the second Cardinal is double figures with 10 points.

4:56 first half- Louisville leads 33-20. Snider had a nice drive and layup on a fast break to extend the lead.

Lewis follows up his three-pointer with a fast break alley-oop to Mathiang.

Trey Lewis hits a three-pointer from the wing, when he steps into his shot, he is the best shooter on Louisville’s roster.

8:18 first half- Timeout Hartford after Pancake Thomas hits a midrange jump shot. Louisville leads 26-18. Quentin Snider knocked down a three-pointer a possession earlier, nice release, good arc and rotation, looks much more comfortable shooting the ball.

9:35 first half- Louisville leads 21-16. Cardinals a little disjointed on a few possessions offensively, working the ball down low, Pitino certainly emphasized paint touches in practice the past few days.

11:54 first half- Louisville leads Hartford 16-12. Onuaku has ten points and Lee has the other six. Both teams are shooting 50 percent from the field, Louisville 7 of 14 from the field.

Quentin Snider checks in for Trey Lewis, Lee is the only starter who hasn’t come to the bench yet.

13:51 first half- Onuaku scores again on a nice turn around, he has 10 points now. Offense really working the ball down to him, Louisville leads 14-8.

Donovan Mitchell is the first guard off the bench after the media timeout, Quentin Snider was the first guard substituted in against Samford.

15:33 first half- Onuaku finishes off another layup and is fouled, will go to the free throw line after the break. Louisville leads 9-8.

Mangok Mathiang is the first Cardinal off the bench, replacing Onuaku.

Onuaku opens with five points, two baskets and a free throw, he started Friday night with seven points in the first four minutes.

Hartford sent out their shortest starter, J.R. Lynch (5-foot-10) to tip off against Onuaku.

Starting five-Trey Lewis, Damion Lee, Deng Adel, Jaylen Johnson and Chinanu Onuaku, same starting five as the season opener on Friday.

Louisville (1-0) heads into their second game of the year against Hartford (1-1) Tuesday night at the KFC YUM! Center.

On Friday, Louisville opened their season with an 86-45 win against Samford. Donovan Mitchell and Damion Lee led the Cardinals in scoring with 14 points.

The Cardinals have a perfect 21-0 record in November at home.

Over the past four years, Louisville has 124 wins, the second-most during that frame behind Wichita State.
