Wayne Blackshear set a new career high with 31 points as Louisville improved to 11-0 on year with an 80-55 victory over Cal State Northridge.

The senior forward hit six three-pointers and had 23 of his 31 in the first half.

With Montrezl Harrell serving a one game suspension, the offense relied heavily on Blackshear early on.  Blackshear shot 9 of 11 from the field in the first half while the rest of the team combined to shoot 5 of 18.

“I just said, `you’re going to get the ball, you’re going to do a lot of things tonight. This is over with you feeling sorry for yourself,” Louisville head coach Rick Pitino said. “You’re going to go out tonight and you’re going to kick ass.”

Terry Rozier added a scoring burst in the second half, finishing with 16 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Louisville will face rival Kentucky on Saturday at the KFC YUM! Center.
