Louisville starting quarterback Will Gardner will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury he suffered late in the first half against Boston College.

The 6-foot-5 sophomore started seven games this season, completing 57.5 percent of his passes for 1669 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Reggie Bonnafon will replace Gardner for the final two games of the season against Notre Dame and Kentucky.

Bonnafon has appeared in seven games and started three games this year.  The true-freshman has completed 55.4 percent of his passes for 662 yards and four touchdowns.

Bonnafon and the Cardinal offense will have two full weeks to prepared for Notre Dame, visiting South Bend, IN on Saturday November 22.
