Field Hockey

The University of Louisville’s newest athletic facility was dedicated this past weekend, as the Marshall Center & Waldman Field Hockey Complex was formally welcomed into the Cardinal community.

The facilities, which broke ground in November 2007, will take a combined 14,360 square feet, including 1,500 seat aluminum bleacher system, concession stands and public rostrums.

The Marshall Center will serve as a training facility for all of the Cardinal Olympic sports. Most of the facility is dedicated to a weight and strength area, while the rest will go towards cardio training.

The Waldman Field Hockey Complex is the new home of the U of L field hockey squad, equipped with office space, locker rooms, a video board and storage space.

U of L Athletic Director Tom Jurich was on hand, as was field hockey head coach Pam Bustin and women’s basketball player Angel McCoughtry.

The U of L field hockey team will host the NCAA Final Four at the facility on November 21-23.
