After a standout sophomore season, Asia Durr has been named the ACC’s preseason Player of the Year voted by the league’s coaches. Durr started all 36 games in 2016-17, averaging 19.2 points and 3.4 rebounds.
Durr set a single-season record for made three-pointers with 119. The junior is one of the most dangerous scorers in the ACC, earning First Team honors last season.
Durr also a preseason First Team selection and is joined by senior forward Myisha Hines-Allen.
Hines-Allen was the 2016-17 preseason ACC Player of the Year and finished her junior campaign averaging 13.9 points and 9.2 rebounds.
The Cardinals were selected to finish second in the conference behind Notre Dame.
U of L made it to the Sweet 16 last season, finishing the year with a 29-8 record.
