Where to hit the books this semester

By Baylee Pendleton–

The excitement of the beginning of a new semester is starting to wear off. Now, students are back in the swing of things and need a new study spot. Here are the best locations to cram this semester:

Ekstrom Library:

This seems like it would be a no-brainer, but very few students take advantage of the third and fourth floors. These areas of the library are for quiet study and are the perfect environment for productivity. The third floor has large wooden tables with desk lamps for you to spread out, and comfy chairs for you to grab a quick nap. The fourth floor has great individual desks for all you introverts out there.

Business School:

On the first floor of Frazier Hall, there are rows of large booths perfect for long-term studying. It’s not the quietest space, but the roomy seating and window view make up for it. These are coveted spots, so be sure sure to snag a seat when you can.

Quills Coffee:

With indoor and outdoor seating, this is a great place to get to work on that assignment you’ve been putting off. Coffee not your thing? Don’t fret. Quills has tea, snacks and a cozy atmosphere to aid your study concentration.

Student Recreation Center (The SRC):

I know, I know. It doesn’t seem like this should have made the list. But surprisingly, the SRC has multiple seating areas that are the perfect studying getaway. It’s also relatively quiet if you go during the day and no one will ever think to bother you there.
