Interim President Neville Pinto will field questions tomorrow, according to a news release.

University spokesman John Karman said the informal Q&A will last 30 minutes and reporters can ask anything. The session is not open to the public.

The former dean and interim provost, now acting president, took over after the board of trustees approved James Ramsey’s immediate resignation last week. Ramsey settled his resignation from U of L for $690,000 and announced his bid for a position on the University of Louisville Foundation, U of L’s $730 million endowment manager.

The university has been in flux since Governor Matt Bevin erased the board on June 17.

U of L’s faculty blasted Bevin, Attorney General Andy Beshear sued the governor twice and accreditation worries loomed overhead. Franklin Circuit Court Judge Phillip Shepherd struck down Bevin’s act Monday, halting the handpicked 10-member board of trustees and bringing back the former board.

Tomorrow’s conference will be held at 9 a.m. in the president’s conference room of Grawemeyer Hall.
