Health Promotion is working with campus partners to measure U of L student wellbeing from now until March 14. Around 5,000 students have been sent links to the voluntary survey.

All responses to the survey will be used to enhance campus health services, and improve students’ lives through nutritional support, programming to promote better sleep or creative solutions to reduce stress.

“Because U of L Health Promotion and Campus Health Services are dedicated to helping students achieve personal and academic success, we plan to use the data to improve the health-related services, resources and programming,” Sara Choate, a co-developer of the survey, said.

Choate said the office is aiming for at least at 25 percent response rate, entering students into a raffle upon completion. Prizes include a bike shop voucher, FitBits, chair massage vouchers and ValuMarket and Farmers’ Market vouchers.

“We value the opinions of our students, and we look forward to learning how we can better meet their wellbeing on campus,” Choate said.

Choate said the Health Promotion office typically administers the National College Health Association survey, but many professionals questioned the survey’s ability, leading to the change.

The survey is fully confidential and takes less than ten minutes to complete.
