Despite cutting Louisville’s lead to seven in the second half, Western Kentucky could not close the gap as U of L went on to win 78-56. Holding a roughly 20-point lead for much of the game, the Cards improved their overall record to 9-1 and are currently on a four game win streak.

Louisville weathered four players picking up at least three fouls to secure the victory. Despite the team’s foul trouble, four Cardinals found themselves scoring double-digit figures. The scoring efforts were led by sophomore guard Quentin Snider who had a team high 16 points and team high four assists. Snider added four rebounds and was 3-3 from the three-point line. Seniors Damion Lee and Trey Lewis both added 15 points while sophomore center Chinanu Onuaku scored 10 points and had a game high 12 rebounds for the double-double effort.

Louisville shot 46 percent from the field compared to WKU’s 41 percent shooting. Louisville had 40 rebounds compared to WKU’s 35.

WKU was led by junior guard Frederick Edmond who had 14 points and eight rebounds.
