Brief: U of L reportedly under FBI investigation

By Olivia Krauth–

Initially reported by The Courier-Journal, the FBI is looking into potential misuse of federal grant money by three current and former U of L officials.

U of L’s executive vice president for health affairs Dr. David Dunn, Dunn’s former associate VP Russell Bessette and VP of IT Priscilla Hancock are reportedly being looked at in the investigation.

According to the CJ, U of L police have been looking into it since 2014.

If true, the scandal would continue a series of issues for U of L. Past issues have included multiple incidents of embezzlement, allegations of strippers being hired for basketball players and recruits and outcry regarding President James Ramsey’s stereotypical Mexican Halloween costume.
