Katina Powell will interview on a special hour long edition on ESPN’s Outside the Lines from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

ESPN reported that five former University of Louisville basketball players and recruits told Outside the Lines that they attended parties in Billy Minardi Hall from 2010-14 which included strippers paid for by Director of Basketball Operations Andre McGee.

Speaking to Outside the Lines on the condition of anonymity, the former players and recruits confirmed stripping and paid sex occurred during the parties.

In Powell’s book, she includes screenshots of text messages exchanged with McGee, but also claimed to have lost over 700 text messages due to a virus.

ESPN confirmed the exchanged text messages were with a phone number that belonged to McGee.

The University of Louisville released a statement on Tuesday morning after the Outside the Lines report was released.

“To preserve the integrity of the review process, the university will withhold comment on any details until the review is concluded.”

Head coach Rick Pitino and Athletic Director declined to comment on the new development, but a Louisville spokesperson told ESPN Jurich said Pitino would not resign.

“Coach Pitino has no plans to step down and he absolutely didn’t know about the allegations,” Jurich said.
