Chances are that you have been out with friends until the early hours of the morning, hungry and deciding that all you want in life is breakfast for dinner. Stirring pancake mix and the hassle of post-bacon cleanup all seems like too much work.
Quite a few people wished that McDonald’s would serve breakfast during the day. It seems that the public’s opinion has finally made McDonald’s start serving breakfast 24/7.
Starting in October, McDonald’s will roll out an all-day breakfast menu—but there’s a catch.
The all-day menu will be limited to only a few options of breakfast sandwiches, pancakes and sides. The restaurants will serve either McMuffins or biscuit sandwiches depending on “local preference,” said McDonald’s.
In the past, McDonald’s stood strong, saying that they could not serve breakfast all day because the grills could not fit both the breakfast food and burgers.
Students around campus are happy with McDonald’s located on the corner of Floyd and Warnock Streets.
“I’m glad that I can walk over and get myself a breakfast sandwich and a hash brown. It is something that should have been done a long time ago,” said Chris Kidd, an accounting major.
Business is expected to raise at the McDonald’s across from the Ralph R. Wright Natatorium.
“Our lunch and dinner is going to go up significantly,” said Brandon Marks, one manager and the Floyd and Warnock McDonald’s.
“I think our breakfast sales will stay about the same, but overall we will definitely be selling more all together.”
Much of the public has said that this was long overdue. People have been mentioning for years that they wanted breakfast served until a later time. Now it is finally here, and many people are ready to delve into some delicious breakfast anytime they would like.
