Due to construction at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, there will not be any purple plus parking during this academic year. Students with a purple parking pass will have to park just south of Central Avenue.

The blue lot on Brook Street has been removed, and all green and blue spaces have been moved south of the intramural fields.

Many returning commuter students will have to wake up and leave for campus a bit earlier to get to class on time. The parking fees for the lot on Cardinal Boulevard and Fourth Street have been decreased. This went into effect on Aug. 1. Initial charges now start at $1, and charge up to $8 for the entire day.

There will now be an evening shuttle for residents on the west side of Third Street, which is available from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Parking permit prices range from $150 for orange, yellow and brown permits to $98 for purple passes.

To get a parking permit, you must go to the Floyd Street parking garage, 2126 South Floyd Street, Suite 100 or purchase it online.

Office hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., but it is recommended that students show up early to avoid long lines. Further explanation of the campus parking changes can be found on U of L’s website. Students can also like University of Louisville Parking on Facebook for minute updates on parking and transportation changes around campus.
