Deferred compensation packages for top U of L officials has led State Auditor Adam Edelen to consider an investigation into the U of L Foundation, a nonprofit which manages more than $1 billion.

The discussions remain preliminary, but deferred compensation payments of $2,437,312 to U of L President James Ramsey, $1,879,462 to Provost Shirley Willihnganz and $1,334,402 to Chief of Staff Kathleen Smith have raised questions after an investigation by Insider Louisville.
