Mangok Mathiang hit an 18 foot jumper with 2.7 seconds left to propel No. 16 Louisville to a 59-57 victory over second-ranked Virginia on Senior Night at the KFC YUM! Center.

The live atmosphere was silenced moments before when Virginia guard Malcolm Brogdon drilled a three-pointer to give the Cavaliers (28-2) a one point lead with nine seconds left.

Louisville head coach Rick Pitino called a timeout and drew up a play to create an opportunity for guard Terry Rozier, but he ended up dishing to Mathiang for the game winning shot.  Rozier finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Montrezl Harrell notched his 24th career double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Quentin Snider added 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting.

With the victory, Louisville (24-7) sealed a double bye in the ACC tournament and boosted their resume for the NCAA tournament.
