No. 12 Notre Dame defeated No. 16 Louisville 71-59 on Thursday night at the KFC Yum! Center.

After falling behind 42-31 at halftime, Louisville (23-7) spurted out to an 11-0 run in the second half to tie the game and then took a 47-46 lead with 11:44 remaining before giving way to an efficient Irish offense.

Notre Dame (25-5) shot 9 of 12 from the field, after giving away the lead, silencing any hopes for a Cardinal comeback.

Montrezl Harrell registered his 23rd double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds.

Wayne Blackshear added 11 points and five rebounds.

As Notre Dame guards Demetrius Jackson and Jerian Grant combined for 33 points and ten assists, Louisville guard Terry Rozier struggled, shooting 4 of 15 from the field for 11 points.
