According to a university announcement, the Complex, a facility that includes Center, West and Wellness halls will be demolished and replaced with a new residence hall.

This decision comes after talks that the University of Louisville Foundation would be selling part of the land back to the city to make room for a redesign of Stansbury Park in exchange for some of the land the park currently stands on.

Center hall and Wellness House are currently home to living-learning communities, and West hall is home to the Housing office.

According to Housing Director Shannon Staten, Housing offices will move from West hall to the fifth floor of Stevenson Hall around spring break, and other occupants of the Complex will move out in early May.

No official plans are announced for the new residence hall, but it is expected to open in Fall 2016.
