No. 7 Louisville defeated No. 22 Iowa 86-52 on Thursday night at the KFC YUM! Center as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

The Cardinals improved to 8-0 after jumping out to a 26-9 lead by turning up defensive pressure on a physical Iowa team.  Louisville went into halftime leading 46-23.

Iowa shot 9 of 38 from the field and had 10 turnovers in the first half.

Sara Hammond led game scorers with 19 points and added five rebounds.  Freshman Myisha Hines-Allen continued her dominate performance around the low-block, scoring 16 points and seven rebounds.

Mariya Moore scored 12 points and dished out six assists while Bria Smith added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Louisville faces rival Kentucky on Sunday at the KFC YUM! Center.
