Mold was reported Monday in at least one room at The Grove, the new affiliated student housing project at the university. As 11:30 a.m. today, it still had not been removed.
Sophomore bioengineering major Sarah Necamp said a maintenance person came to her room yesterday around 4:30 p.m.
“Yesterday the maintenance man said it’s a common problem,” she said. “He came in and told my roommate they were going to get it off then paint over it.”
Necamp told the Cardinal yesterday that she and her two roommates had been sick as a result of the mold.
Grove management still have not responded to The Cardinal’s requests for comment.
