The Executive Board of SGA, which is composed of all college council presidents, began the 2015-2016 budget process on Tuesday night.

This 2015-2016 total council budgets will be increased to $165,000 from the current $145,000.  This $20,000 increase comes from the re-appropriation of current funds, and not from any additional SGA funding.  Benjamin Leamon, Graduate School vice president and a member of the appropriations committee, says he hopes council will work together to allocate the $20,000 increase.

“I want this to be a collaborative process,” said Leamon.

The budget approval process will begin on October 11, and budgets will be finalized by the end of the semester.
