The University of Louisville Theater Department, along with the African American Theatre Program (AATP), held auditions Tuesday and Wednesday for their fall productions: The Tempest by William Shakespeare, and Monsieur Baptiste, the Con Man by Roger Furman.

Over 50 students auditioned over the two-day audition window, according to box office manager Melanie Henry. Students ranged from incoming undergraduate theater majors to graduate students working on their thesis.

The auditions begin what is the 20th year of AATP. Other anniversary plans include a variety of guest speakers and acting workshops, as well as a gala to honor current and past actors.
