FRANKFORT – The House budget bill that would reduce the University of Louisville’s 2012 budget by 6.4 percent is closer to enactment, with its passage through the House budget committee on Mar. 6.
Under House Bill 265, sponsored by House Appropriations and Revenue Committee Chairman Rick Rand, state agencies all over Kentucky would receive reduced funding, including state universities which would all receive the 6.4 percent cut. HB 265 now moves to the full House for consideration.
