1. Scholarship Day

Come to Churchill Downs for College Scholarship Day on Friday Nov. 11. College I.D.s get you free admission for chances to win $1,000 scholarships after each race that day. Free shuttle from noon to 7:30 p.m. at Gray’s College Bookstore on 4th Street. – Anna Meany

2. Kentuckian Dodgeball Tournament
Nov 11 | 10AM-4PM, free
We all know the five D’s of dodgeball, but we rarely get a chance to try them out in practice. But at the Kentuckiana Dodgeball Tournament on Nov. 11, you can try out your dodgeball skills with many others from the region. The tournament will be held at the MidAmerica Sports Center and the winners will get a $1000 prize. – Lee Cole

3. Championship Rodeo
Nov 10-12 | 7:30PM, $20+
Slip on your cowboy boots and head out to the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center this weekend, for the North American Championship Rodeo. Watch cowboys and cowgirls rope, ride, race and wrestle for three nights in Freedom Hall. The North American International Livestock Exposition is held in conjunction with the Rodeo. Prices range from $20 – $32 for reserved adult tickets, and $10 for children 12 and under. The event will be held Nov. 10 – 12. – Nathan Gardner

4. Meet Your Farmer Day
Nov 12-13 | 1-3PM, free
Come taste real farm to table at “Meet Your Farmer Day” at the Root Cellar. On Saturday Nov. 12, Edna Schrock at JD Country Milk will be there to answer questions and talk from 1 p.m. – 3 pm. Eric Osborne of Magnificent Mushrooms, Jay King of Ridge Acres and Van Campbell of Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese will all be at the Root Cellar on Nov. 13 to meet guests and provide a tasting for anyone interested. Make sure to take advantage of this special event at The Root Cellar located at at 1484 South 3rd Street in downtown Louisville. – Caitlin Williams

5. Louisville Cornhole Cup

Nov 13 | 10AM-4PM, free
Tailgating masters with a love of cornhole have the opportunity to compete in a tournament for a worthy cause. The Louisville CornHole Cup will be held on Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Brown & Williamson Club at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, with proceeds going to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana. Registration for the event begins at 11:30 a.m. with the competition starting around 1 p.m. Players can register at cornholecup.com. The cost for a team in the student division is $20, $40 for the recreational division, and $60 for the competitive division. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each division. – Aaron Williams

6. Louisville Food Bank Food Drive

Sodexo is teaming up with Alpha Tau Omega to donate food for the local Louisville food bank, Dare to Care. Students can make $5 donations via flex bucks, cash or credit to feed a family in need. – Josephine Lee
