The Louisville Cardinal has learned that the University of Louisville could potentially add class time for its students due to a change in accreditation requirements, according to Vice Provost Dale Billingsley.

According to Student Government Association President Kurtis Frizzell, the university is “either going to add a week of classes or add five minutes to every class” in order to meet the requirement. Frizzell wasn’t sure if the new policy would take effect in this academic year of the next.

Billingsley said there is a meeting Monday to finalize plans.

The Louisville Cardinal will provide more information as it becomes available.
