‘Keeping Louisville wired’ is Highland Coffee Company’s unique spin on the often-used motto, ‘keep Louisville weird,’ encouraging the Louisville population to embrace local businesses. Highland Coffee feels much like a hometown restaurant, with the tables and chairs neatly arranged. But it’s the bohemian influence that makes it a true coffee shop of the Highlands.
Like many coffee shops, Highland Coffee has a few unique attractions.
“One of the things that make us different is the fact that we have an in-house bakery,” said Whitney McClure, Highland Coffee barista and University of Louisville graduate. “Our sandwiches and pastries are among our biggest sellers.”
October marks the 10-year anniversary of Highland Coffee, and they are celebrating by drawing contestant names twice a day to win $10 gift certificates to Highland Coffee Company.
