Day’s Espresso & Coffee may seem somewhat vintage at first glance. The black and white checkered marble floors and the individual booths lined up along the walls make Day’s seem like a remodeled 1950s diner. But the selection of coffee at Day’s is better than that of a 1950s diner.
The Kookiedoodle flavored coffee, which tastes like a cinnamon cookie, is one of the many varieties of coffee beans that customers can purchase in one-pound or five-pound bags.
Elizabeth Foster, assistant manager at Day’s and U of L graduate, explained that many of the customers that come in are students, both from Bellarmine and U of L.
“Our business traffic increases, especially when school is in full swing,” said Foster. “We see students come in to study alone or in study groups, but most are regulars that come here often.”
