The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee is presenting their Second Annual Alternative Spring Break in New Orleans, LA. The Office for Civic Engagement, Leadership and Service are having two alternative spring break trips. The Louisville location costs $75 while the Asheville, NC is $225. The Louisville event will examine local issues (including empowerment, literacy, and affordable housing) in the Portland neighborhood. The Asheville trip will focus more on healthy food choices and healthy living in the Asheville area. Scholarship funds are available.
