On Oct. 29, Phi Kappa Tau fraternity held its annual step show at Manual High School. Sororities choreographed an eight-minute show of dance and step routines. All six sororities provided performances, and several hundred people attended.
Delta Zeta sorority won first place, with a futuristic theme. Chi Omega won second, with a construction worker theme. And Sigma Kappa placed third, performing as circus characters.
This event is held every year to raise money for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camps. These camps are a place where seriously ill children can participate in outdoor activities. Phi Kappa Tau raised over $5,000 with this philanthropy.
“About 10 members of our chapter volunteer at these camps for a week every year,” said Oliver Muenz-Winkler, senior communication major and president of Phi Kappa Tau. “Two guys actually stayed the entire summer.”
